Princess Birgitta to host “summer talk” on Swedish radio

Every summer Swedish Radio broadcast a popular series of “Summer Talks” – each day from mid-June to mid-August a more or less well-known person hosts the programme. Yesterday the list of this year’s “Summer Talkers” was released, also including a royal. Princess Birgitta of Hohenzollern, one of King Carl Gustaf’s sisters, will be on air on 12 July. Formerly Princess Märtha Louise of Norway has also hosted a programme. First out this year is IKEA’s founder Ingvar Kamprad on 20 June and among the other “Summer Talkers” this year are the Finnish and Norwegian Foreign Ministers Alexander Stub and Jonas Gahr Støre on 24 June and 6 July respectively, the author Per Olov Enquist on 19 July and the historian Peter Englund on 31 July.
