In Aftonbladet today Elisabeth Palmstierna, Marshal of the Duchess of Halland’s Court, confirms what has been implicit for a while, namely that Princess Lilian will not attend the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling on 19 June. Baroness Palmstierna says the Princess “is unfortunately not well enough to attend the wedding”.
Princess Lilian, who will be 95 in August, receives round-the-clock care at her home Villa Solbacken in Stockholm. She was last seen in public on 30 April 2008, at a time when her physical and mental decline had already been going on for some years.
